Solutions of Powdered Detergent 6120 foam slightly at room
temperature. Above 130° F, this foaming tendency subsides and a
defoaming mechanism comes into play. Lack of foam in a high pressure
recirculated cleaning machine is important. Solutions of 0.50% to 4.0%
of formula 6120 should be produced in the washer. Spray nozzles should
be in good condition such that they will apply maximum impingement of
the cleaning solution on the soil.
Following cleaning, rinse with plain water. All metals of
construction can be cleaned with formula 6120. However, soft metals
such as aluminum and zinc should not be exposed to very strong
solutions of 6120 for extended periods of time at high temperatures.
