Resin Cleaner 3105 is a powdered
specialty cleaner designed to clean iron fouled zeolite resin.
USES
Resin Cleaner 3105 is used to maintain the efficiency of a zeolite
water softener. Whenever the capacity of the softener has dropped by
10 to 20%, formula 3105 should be used to restore peak efficiency.
Formula 3105 can also be added weekly as a normal preventative
maintenance routine.

DOSAGE
Initial Cleaning: Soak resin bed in 8% by weight solution of
Resin Cleaner 3105 for 4-8 hours. Back wash resin bed thoroughly and
regenerate softener. For severely fouled resin beds, increase soak
time to 12-24 hours. A second application may be beneficial for
improved iron removal. Do not air agitate when making solutions or
during cleaning.
Preventative Maintenance Cleaning: Add 5-15 ounces of Resin
Cleaner 3105 to the brine tank for each cubic foot of softener
capacity every 8 to 10 generations or as iron fouling demands. For
additional information on product application, contact your DB Water representative.
HANDLING
Resin Cleaner 3105 is an acidic material. Do not take internally.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Should contact occur, flush
immediately with large amounts of water. If any discomfort persists,
seek medical attention. Some individuals are highly susceptible to
sodium bisulfite dust causing shortness of breath. These individuals
should not be exposed to formula 3105 if possible, or should wear a
full dust respirator when handling. Read relevant Material Safety Data
Sheet before handling this product.
